You can't really know where you are going unless you know where you have been.

Sometimes we get too caught up in the day-to-day. Perhaps you had a day (or more) of getting off-track, but that doesn't mean a lack of progress toward your goal. The "My Diet Trends" report allows you to review and reflect on the "bigger picture." This report helps you see your weight-loss progress over time and understand how you can adjust your plan moving forward.
Select a 7-day, 14-day, or 30-day range or create a custom range of dates for the report.
Your Weight Plan is based on your overall weight goal and simply describes the amount of weight you plan to lose during the time range selected.
Actual Weight represents weight lost or gained during the reporting period. Therefore, update your weight in the app frequently to allow the report to reflect your current weight.
Tracking is a key to weight-loss success, and the accuracy of your report depends on complete food logs.
You will see each day in "My Diet Trends" marked as one of the following:
Missing: You haven't logged any calories. The report will not include these days.
Review Needed: You have logged these days, but data may be missing. The report will not include these days
Considered Complete: You have logged breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The report will include these days.
Marked Complete: You have manually marked the day as complete. The report will include these days.
Note: You always have the opportunity to complete the logs by adding foods or manually marking days as complete.
A calorie deficit, meaning you have consumed fewer calories than your weight maintenance calories, will lead to weight loss over time. Required Calorie Deficit is the number of calories you need to be under your weight maintenance calories to achieve the weight loss rate you've set for yourself in My Weight Plan by your target date.
Actual calorie deficit is the number of calories you consumed below your weight maintenance calories. If your calorie deficit is equal to or greater than your required calorie deficit, you are on track to lose weight at the rate set in your plan or faster.
If your calorie deficit is less than the required calorie deficit, you are on track to lose weight, but not as fast as your plan, which results in a "Slower loss" message.
If you have a calorie surplus, you consumed more calories than your weight maintenance needs; therefore, weight gain is predicted.
Note: Your daily required calorie deficit will probably not be the same each day of your report. For example, suppose you have not lost weight the first 15 of 30 days. In that case, the remainder of the days will have a greater required calorie deficit to keep you on track with your goal by the end of the period. Therefore, the report uses averages of daily required deficits.
Although many factors can affect your weight, a "My Diet Trends" report predicts your future rate of weight loss based on the days logged in your report.
If you aren't on track to meet your goal, it isn't too late. Think about what adjustments you would like to make. Perhaps you will set a goal to have more accurate and complete logs. You may decide to change your weight-loss target date if you struggle to meet your required calorie deficit. You may strive to get more exercise or watch portions to create a larger calorie deficit.
